Good thoughts on the Dark Knight. I enjoyed the movie, though I have to say it didn't quite hit a certain button for me - and it's hard to explain why. Perhaps my expectations were too high going in? I just felt that Wall-E left me with wonder and the experience of beauty and the new, whereas The Dark Knight did not touch those deeper, child-like places in my soul.

But is it a good film? Oh yes. And does it speak to the Gospel story? Indeed. Batman is definitely portrayed as a scapegoat in the end of the film, and you want to both applaud his courage and decry the unfairness of it all at once. I think that would be a good perspective to take as we view Christ as well.

The film has its' flaws, and I am one that was disapointed by how far they took the Two Face story in this film. That being said, it is worth the watch, and certainly worth engaging. Those who have eyes to see, let them see.
